Spring is Feeling Like Summer in Coeur d’Alene: Let’s Bike
You would not have believed it was April this past week here in Coeur d’Alene. With temperatures reaching the mid to high 70’s it was like Summer had decided Spring needed to sit this year out. It was fabulous for me; I was able to get out on my bike and ride just about every single day! (You can follow my rides on Ride With GPS here: Personal Profile or Ride With GPS Ambassador Profile)
Tom and I were even able to get out on the vintage cruisers and take a ride along the North Idaho Centennial Trail in the downtown Coeur d’Alene area. It was really great to see all the other people out enjoying the day. There were even some brave souls who were actually in the lake! The breeze that was coming off of it told me it is still pretty chilly, but kids must have much thicker skin. This photo below shows the beach at one of the spots where there happened to be no one. (Don’t really feel comfortable taking photos of other peoples kids without their permission.)
This week is turning out to be a rainy one, but hoping for a break in the weather this weekend. I want to start getting out and mapping some routes that you can all use for your own self-guided bicycle tours!
Below is an example of one way I can share the routes with everyone. The other ways are via files you can use in your own GPS and one that will open in Google Earth on your computer or smart phone. Going to be fun creating and sharing some general bicycle routes with everyone and creating specialized routes via the bicycle concierge service. (If you can’t see the map try refreshing the page.)
Let’s all get out and ride!!!
